Current and Past Student Research Projects

Dr. Lisa Webb, Terri Kaminsky and Susie Kenney of Christopher Newport University formed a Faculty and Student Team (FaST) to profile complex phenotypes in recombinant inbred strains of mice. The results from their studies will be presented at the 20th International Mouse Genome Conference in Charleston, SC, Nov. 2006.

Ian Malm (junior, Macalester College) and Chiaki Nakata (junior, Earlham College) are applying a systems genetic approach to study the relationship between the renin-angiotensin system, inflammatory cytokines and type II diabetes thorough the Oak Ridge Science Semester program.
